About EPA609.com
EPA609.com is operated by Trade Masters Online, an independent organization authorized by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to administer technician education and certification exams under Section 609 of the Clean Air Act (40 CFR Part 82, Subpart B). Our goal is to protect the environment by making it simple and intuitive for automotive technicians to learn proper refrigerant handling. Founded in 2019, we got our start training HVAC technicians to safely and legally service air conditioning systems — work that keeps ozone-depleting chemicals out of the atmosphere. Our instructors develop custom training programs and literature for companies as well as speak at industry seminars and production of special product videos.
Report a Violation
All reporting of environmental violations, including refrigerant handling violations, should be done using ECHO (EPA's Enforcement and Compliance History Online), the official epa.gov website reporting form.
